Love this unit!!
Have a 1300 sf basement, got tired of replacing the small units after a year or so.
Waited for over 6 months to comment.....the unit is great!
Has worked around the clock- no problems.
Dropped my humidity levels 15% the first day.
If you have a problem basement, this unit is it.
It is easily moved around if needed.
Noise - a little louder than a 70 pint unit, but if you have a problem basement - who cares.

Hope it does the job!
We just had our dehumidifier installed and it seems to be doing the job quite well. We have a 3,000 ft. basement that had become dangerously damp. After a complete cleaning, the dehumidifier was installed and it is amazing how dry it feels and how much better it smells! We are hopeful we can again use our basement for storage. We would like to reserve final judgement until the first year to see how it is really going to do in the long run.

Great Dehumidifier
I've had an older Frigidaire dehumidifier for years, but it was time to replace it. I did a lot of research and decided to spend the extra money for this Aprilaire unit. When I first opened the package I was impressed with the quality right away. I placed it next to my forced air heating unit in the back part of my basement and added a small water pump to send the water outside since I didn't have a floor drain close by. The unit easily keeps my 1400 sq. ft. mostly finished basement at 45% humidity level at 68 degrees. The built in sensor runs the unit only when it needs to and the fan sound is about the same as my home HVAC fan. Overall I'm very happy with this unit.

Aprilaire Basement And Crawlspace Dehumidifier
I have had this dehumidifier for 1 month. Delivery was prompt as described and it was very well packaged. It was very easy to assemble and I have installed it in a crawlspace. The hose is routed to a drain in the crawlspace.
It is not as noisy as I thought it would be; only a muted hummmm.
Humidity has been lowere and there is no more sweating of the cold water pipes. Air seems fresher in the entire basement area.

All larger appliances, from AC to dehumid will recomend a dedicated outlet. This unit is the same. It draws about 8 amps, so you should be able to share a circuit that is lightly loaded. I would just make sure yout circuit doesn't have other larger items on it where both may cycle on at the same time and trip your breaker. Those would included, AC, refridge, freezer, curling irons, irons, heaters, etc.
