What comes with this dryer?

Details:

Does it need a special hose or cord etc. Can it be set up and operating with what comes in the shipment? If not, what is the set up procedure.

It would be nice if there were closeups of the panel on the front and/or a description of the different settings.

BTW, how does a condensing dryer work?

Answers

The ASL75CXSNA Ariston Condenser Dryer comes with a 6 ft cord. You should be able to set it up out of the box. It also comes with the stacking kit if you wish to stack it with the ARWL129SNA Ariston Front Load Washer. It does not come with a pedestal for raising it off the ground.

A condenser dryer does the same thing as a regular dryer, but does not require a vent. It heats the air inside the drum and blows it through the clothes, then the moisture-laden air is passed through a heat exchanger, where the water re-condenses. This Ariston condenser dryer does need to be drained, but can be hooked up to the same drain line as the washer.

Does this dryer require a drainage pipe? or does it have a condensation container that collects the water from the clothes and you empty?

The dryer opens from the front. Generally, the dryer goes on the bottom, but it is basically up to you how you would like to set it up.

What does the flashing alarm light indicate?

Also, the "clean filter" light remains on even when lint filter has been cleaned. Is there an internal filter that needs to be cleaned?

Answers

As far as the clean filter light, it sounds like you just need to vacuum the front air intake grille and vents at the rear of the dryer, to remove any build up of fluff, lint or dust. Also to remove accumulation of fluff from the front of the condenser and filter areas, clean occasionally with a vacuum cleaner. The flashing light could mean several things, however, if you contact Ariston directly, they can trouble shoot that one for you. Ariston can be reached at 1 877 356 0766.
