GREAT SERVICE -The install will come mid Jan 2013

Good diswasher
Product came as advertised and on time. We have a galley style kitchen and didn't have room for a full size dishwasher (wish we did because the small one's more expensive). Installation was a breeze; just cut out a couple pieces of cabinet and it slid right in. the plumbing was easy as well -- this was my first dishwasher install! And it looks great with our stainless oven. Keep in mind this is a small dishwasher but it cleans well, just make sure you rinse the dishes. The instructions say the water input is in the rear left but it's actually in the front. Would recommend.

Great little dishwasher
I read all the other reviews about Avanti 18in dishwashers, so I wasn't surprised by it's quirks. But it was exactly what I was looking for... great price, stainless interior, right size for my quirky kitchen space. I knew it wouldn't fit my big plates. It doesn't dry dishes well, but if you are there when it is done and open it up they dry off well enough. We keep our water temp high, so it does a great job of cleaning dishes. We have hard water - so I will be curious to see how that affects it over time. Put some mildly dirty pots and pans in on the "normal" setting and they came out really clean. I've used the light setting most of the time and it has done a great job. I do rinse my dishes a bit before putting them in. My husband and I installed it ourselves and it went pretty well for us amateurs. :) So far the kids haven't figured out the buttons. The power button is a harder push so that is good. Overall- very happy with this purchase and thrilled to have "someone" else doing my dishes for me and would definitely recommend this to others.

dead on arrival and horrible service
I ordered the Avanti dishwasher because I had limited space and needed a small unit. It was delivered and was dead on arrival. It never worked. I called Avanti and it takes forever to reach someone. I finally got someone and they sent someone out to look at it. He said it likely needed to be replaced but Avanti refused to send a new unit and said they would order parts but it would take 4-6 weeks since the parts come from China, presumably on a very slow boat. I didn't get the parts for over 6 weeks and then their service person disappeared and they needed to get a new one. More delays and battles, repair didn't work out and they eventually sent a new unit, 3 months later. Horrible service.
