Deni Premium Meat Grinder - 550 Watt Motor
From Deni, this Premium Meat Grinder (3400OB) makes preparing fresh, healthy foods safe and simple. Equipped with a heavy-duty cutting blade and three diecast grinding plates (2.9mm, 4.9mm, 22.7mm), this user-friendly machine allows for grinding food to various levels of coarseness. Such a range can accommodate sausage for queso, meat for chili and even fish for soups and bisques.
With a powerful 550 watt motor, this compact grinder can grind 1 1/2 pounds of meat per minute. In the unlikely event of a jam, just flip the motor to reverse in order to safely unclog food without disassembling the entire grinder.

You Don't Get What You Don't Pay For
This grinder will grind cubes of lean stew meat. It will not grind frozen chopped broccoli, which my old grinder of a different brand would grind. It will grind thawed frozen chopped broccoli, but every few seconds it will spit some vegetable puree about two feet. In between times the ground vegetable drops into the bowl like normal. I paid $100 less for this grinder than I did for my old one, and you can definitely tell the difference. My old one had to be shipped cross-country for repair because there are no local repair centers for that brand, and I needed a working grinder in a hurry. I probably should have gone for a better grinder; one without plastic gears which is what broke in my old grinder and what are probably used in this grinder as well.
An annoying feature is the sucker feet. They stick to everything the instant the unit is set down, and they aren't needed. I finally put waxed paper under the grinder so I can move it around without unsticking all four feet every time. The unit does not move around during use, so I don't know why they thought it needed to be stuck to the counter.
The motor smelled hot during the entire grinding time. I expected it to burn out before my eyes, but there was no smoke and the grinder at least didn't fail during the first use.
My advice is to only buy this for an emergency. It will actually do some grinding, albeit a little messily at times, but you'd really be better off getting a more expensive one if you know that you will use a grinder on a regular basis.
