Will the APEHCT connector work on the window exhaust connection end?

Details:

I only received one connector with my Koldfront PAC8000S unit. Will this connector work on the window exhaust plate? The one that came with my unit only seemed to work on the unit itself. I could not see a way to make it fit in the hole for the window exhaust. It seemed to be the same size as the hole.
