This is not the cheap, flimsy exhaust hose that it appears to be in the picture. It is exactly like the original exhaust hose that comes with the portable A/C unit. It's a little expensive, but exactly what I need. Super fast shipping.

I have a/c and it works well for me.
I like the product because I can use it as needed. I do have to have sliders open with a/c from house going in room also, but it works for me.

Hello,Thank you for contacting the Living Direct Network. The way to make the hose longer would be to buy another hose, put the ends of the hoses together and duct tape it. Unfortunately there isnt a coupler which can connect both ends cleanly, but duct tape is manufacturered for this exact reason. To connect "ducts together". Also keep in mind that you can buy white duct tape now at crafts stores which make it look nicer also.

do i need to cut 2---5 inch holes or 1 --idont understand the 2 hose or 2 outlet concept --also i plan to foam insulate the area - can i wait until after that is done to cut the holesafter reading all the reviews on the 14000 i also am concerned now about the led and controls which seem to break easily

A:
The purpose for a dual hose unit is that one hose is intake, and the second is exhaust. You must have the exhaust portion hooked up and vented properly in order for the unit to work effectively. You do not necessarily need to hook up the intake, as the unit will just intake from the room. As for the LED display, EdgeStar is aware of the problem, and has made the necessary modifications to correct it.
