Great Purchase I took out of the box, read quick start guide in like 5 minutes, plugged in in & turned it on, its been running on & off every since. Love the tank with the water gauge you can see how much water has accumulated, Water tank easy to remove to empty and replace. Using in finished basement, best part is how quite it is. Highly recommend this product. Had a Danby previously and that was very noisy and water tank always difficult to remove and replace. April 1, 2014
Very disappointed Took it out of the box and did all we were suppose to do but It would not pull water at all. We did everything according to the directions. I finally called the manufacturer. She walked me through it all again. Finally she said it was defective. She had me mail them the sales slip (proof of purchase) and the silver tab off of the machine. I received a full refund from the manufacturer. It came in the form of a visa card. I really do believe it was just a mfg defect as my sister has two of the same ones and she never had a problem. Frigidaire 50 Pint Energy Star Dehumidifier We've had this product for a couple of weeks now and, so far, are very happy with it. We live in Southeast Texas which is extremely humid. The unit is being used in our workout room which is an aluminum add-on to our house. It is not tied into the central air and heat so it can get quite damp. It's amazing how much water this things sucks out of the air! Right now we don't have a hose hooked up to it for continuous drainage (which we plan on doing) and the bucket fills up pretty much every day, depending on the weather. According to the readout, on the unit, it's keeping the humidity level at about 55%. If you're familiar with our area of the country......that's awesome! As far as the noise level, it's no louder than the window units we run when we're in there. We have a TV in the room and haven't had any issues with not being able to hear it. While I didn't hook the unit up myself, I can only assume it was easy since I didn't hear my husband yelling at it and it didn't take very long. Not sure about multiple features. We just turned it on and let it go so I haven't explored the different features/settings. I would definitely recommend this product. March 12, 2014
