"Great Value"
Knifes have a very good feel and do not slip when wet. They hold an edged very well, better than any I have purchased before. I only wish I had this set years ago.

Great knives at a screaming low price
Bottom line:
These knives are a great value for the money. I recommend them to anyone who cooks and is looking for a top-of-the-line knife set. They meet or exceed the quality and usefulness of any German knives I've used.
I received these knives as I was looking to upgrade from my trusty set of name-brand German knives. I was initially skeptical of the "Ginsu" brand, but tried the knives out anyway.
First impressions:
The knives look good- the handles appear similar to the high-end Japanese knives I was considering, and they feel good in the hand. The blades came out of the box nearly razor sharp. The knife block is made of high-end-looking bamboo. One minor complaint- the knife block is not angled- so the knives do not fit under my cabinets.
The handles are very simple, and I initially feared that they would be slippery when wet. This was not the case- I can hold them just fine when wet.
Prep cooking with these knives is a breeze. Onions are diced with ease, tomatoes are sliced as if by a razor. Meat parts easily.
Longer-term impressions (after three months of near-daily use):
I gave away my chef's knife from my old German knife set and I am looking for a home for the rest of the set! One of my main worries was that the Ginsu knives would dull quickly and be a pain to resharpen. They have not dulled yet- and I mainly use the Santoku and pairing knife, with the chef's knife also seeing heavy use.
I love these knives and I have never seen a comparable knife set at anywhere near this price point. I recommend them to anyone who asks- and I truly believe that a good Santoku (or chef's knife) and a good pairing knife are what you need to enjoy the act of creating in the kitchen.
