Simply turn the knob clockwise for more moisture, or counter-clockwise for lower humidification and extended run time. The Holmes Ultrasonic Humidifier is even capable of running for an entire 24 hours on a single tank fill. The water tanks are removable to make filling easier, and also have a built-in carrying handle. The humidifier even has a visible mist view window that lets you see the mist exit the unit so you know it's working.
