The EdgeStar Titanium Portable Ice Maker (IP210TI) is the perfect solution for all of your ice-making needs and it plugs into a standard 110V outlet. Simply fill the reservoir with standard tap or bottled water and have ice cubes in less than ten (10) minutes. It doesn't need a water line or drain, making it useful for picnics, tailgate parties, outdoor get-togethers, camping or any other application where a standard water supply is not available.
This ice maker allows you to select three (3) different ice sizes, and it can produce up to 28 pounds of ice per day, which is perfect for parties or entertaining guests. It stores up to 2 pounds of ice at a time in its insulated storage bin, and any ice that melts will drain into reservoir and be filtered back into the machine to produce more ice. With all of these features, this portable ice maker is perfect for your kitchen, a wet bar, or your office and will give you great ice at your fingertips.
Note: While this machine is well insulated, it is not a freezer.

Great Little Icemaker
This icemaker was well worth the purchase price. I purchased this machine for work--we were spending $6+ a week to purchase bagged ice for meetings. It will pay for itself in no time. The slight negatives are: (1) If ice is left in the storage bin overnight, the ice melts slightly and clumbs together. (2) It took several days to get the new taste out of the ice--a minor inconvience but the reviews warned me about this so I was prepared to run several batches through before using the ice. Over all this was a great purchase and I would definitely recommend.

Excellent ice
This produce is compact and works very well at camp sites for cold drinks. I start the ice maker as one of my setting up activities and by the time I have camp set up I have ice for cold drinks and normally by the end of that evening can store ice in the freezer so when guests come the next day we do not over welm the production. keeps us in ice.
We don't have an ice maker in the refrigerator freezer. We were buying
2-3 bags of ice a week. We haven't had to buy any since getting this portable ice maker. It works well and keeps us in ice. It is easy use after
we ran a couple of batches with lemon juice to get the plastic taste out of the ice like they recommended. We are very happy with this machine.

are not going to use the ice for a specified period of time? In other words, can you let it just keep using the water to make ice until you use all the ice up no matter how long it takes?

I use the ice everyday and empty the bucket twice a day.I do not know why you need a image,
two cups of ice produced in 12 hours.

Yes, you can just let the ice sit there and melt, the unit will recycle the water. However, in doing that, you will want to clean the unit once a week.Details:
I have an Edgestar Titanium portable icemaker that I have had for about 2 years. I've been real satisfied with it untill recently when it has started to be less efficent. It takes much longer to begin producing ice and the cubes are less solid than they used to be. Any ideas ?

YES THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO MY FIRST ONE, BUT TO ME I JUST THREW IT OUT AND BROUGHT ANOTHER ONE. BUT THEN AGAIN I DID RUN IT 24/7, SO MAYBE THEY ARE NOT REALLY MEANT FOR THAT TYPE OF USE, BUT I FEEL I DID GET MY MONEYS WORTH OUT OF IT IN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS OF NOT HAVING TO RUN AND ALWAYS BUY ICE, OR NOT HAVING ICE WHEN I WANTED IT. Not being a service tech, the only issue that comes to mind is if you have located the unit in a new area that has a higher ambient temperature which would play into how fast the unit was able to produce ice and could possible affect the density of it depending on how hot the outside temp was where the unit is located. want to use this in a motorhome this summer...is it quiet and is there any problem with the taste of the icecubes?

It does make noise but not extremly loud but this unit is noisy. I am hoping that the noise goes away after using, as we just bought this one in last two weeks. This is our 3rd purchase first of this brand. The noise you get used to is the dropping of the ice cubes. The ice tastes great, no problems with the taste at all. We use ours in our camper as well, go for it, this is a good unit for the money and size it makes ice quickly.

Addressing the noise first, the unit will make some noise as it is producing ice. Some people have said that it is not loud, others have stated it is a racket. Noise is very relative to people, what one person thinks is loud, another may consider whisper quiet. I can tell you that a lot of people who have motor homes and RV's use this product as it is a very practical solution to their ice needs. As for the taste of the cubes, you may experience a weird taste initially out of the box. If that is the case, just run a few cycles with water, vinegar and baking soda, and that should clear it up. It is also a good idea to run that same solution through the unit every once in a while to help clean it.Details:
