Stick with power tools! Black and Decker's name is what prompted me to purchase my B&D hand mixer - big mistake! This thing could bore a hole through a concrete wall it's so powerful! Even in the deepest bowl, it flings batter and eggs . . . don't even try flour! Luckily I have a good sense of humor because otherwise I'd be furious. Instead I could only laugh at the comedy scene that unfolded in my kitchen on the debut day of my new hand mixer. Dear Black and Decker, stick to power tools, PLEASE! Best Uses? Uh, paint mixer, drill . . . anything that doesn't have to do with food! December 12, 2012
I purchased the Black and Decker Pro Hand MIxer about a year ago. I thought it wasn't 'great' at the time, but it was on sale. I just threw it in the re-cycling bin since it just QUIT. My old mixer was far superior and had lasted me almost ten years when my husband thought I should buy a new one and 'upgrade'. I DO NOT recommend this product. April 23, 2011
