This Energy Star rated portable dehumidifier (DP1-45-03) is perfect for medium sized spaces, removing up to 45 pints of water per day. Its heavy duty yet lightweight casters allow it to be moved and placed almost anywhere. In addition to portability and energy efficiency, Soleus Air has added low temperature operation to this line of dehumidifiers.
Other operational features include auto defrost, loss of power protection with auto re-start, tank-full indicator with auto shut-off, and gravity drainage (optional).
Low Temperature Operation:
This feature enables the unit to operate at temperatures as low as 40ºF, meaning it can be left on in the basement year-round without freezing up and shutting offAutomatic Restart:

Soleus 45 pt. works good
This unit works good but if I designed it the fan would be able to go off with the compressor. I like the top center handle. so far a very good machine.

This particular model has a built-in attachment that allows it to drain using a standard garden hose (not included). To do so, simply remove the bucket from the front of the unit, open the drain cover on the side of the unit, thread a standard garden hose onto the drain nozzle, and replace the bucket in the dehumidifier.Details:
I would like this for our cabin at the beach, attaching a garden hose to drain into the sink but we are wondering how much it would cost to run while we are not there. Can I set to operate one day a week just to help with the condensation. I do not want to use Dry-z-air products as the mess and chemicals that come with it. Is this the answer for me?Answers
