Highly recommended model
I considered buying a smaller or different model, but chose the 660 based on its reviews and am pleased thus far. There is very little noise even when on the highest speed and circulates/moves air very well.

Vornado continues to deliver
This fan is better looking than our last Vornado and works great! It is quiet and moves air well. In other reviews, I read that the tilt feature was difficult to use--not so, it is very easy to adjust. The only thing Vornado could do to improve it is to make it easier to clean, especially the motor and the "inlet ribs."

my son has a bedroom on the 3rd floor. Landlord won't allow an ac up there. It's inhumainly hot, and crewl. I'm looking into as many possibilitys as possible to get this room cooled down. Will this fan make a noticeable differance ?

This fan will definitely circulate air very well, but I cannot say for certain as to whether it will cool the room sufficiently.If the conditions are as bad as you described, then your son living there may not be a suitable option.

This fan will only circulate the air in the room but not actually reduce the temperature of the air. In order to cool the room, I would recommend the purchase of a portable air conditioner. This type of unit will remain inside the room and is easily moved.
