Just what I wanted and works perfectly
This replaced a unit that stuck out too far that had sharp corners. It was just at the right height so my head took a hit from time to time. This new one from Windster is perfect. It is set back a bit, no sharp corners, looks very impressive, and runs quietly. The LED lights are very useful and quite bright. I have no complaints at all about the quality or the look of this 36" range hood. However, the installation instructions were a bit odd and were for a hood where you would use a duct. Anyway, it had a couple of useless pieces on it from my perspective which might have been for an installation where you are replacing a ducted unit with a ductless unit (this one). Anyway, once you figure out what you're dealing with the installation is very easy. I did it myself without anyone else to even help put the keyholes into place so it could be tightened into its spot. The bottom line is that I have a beautiful looking hood that stays out of the way. Yea!

Great product, outdated installation manual
Pros: Well built - not cheap thin metal, quiet even at high CFM settings, 2 LED lights, very clean design (rounded corners, filters fit snug). We needed a ductless unit w/ high CFM and this unit delivers.
Cons: The installation manual is outdated. The unit I received does not entirely match the unit described in the manual on Windster's site (one was not shipped, so you will need to access PDF from their site). I'm handy and figured it out...and the good news was that the newer unit I received was actually easier to install than would have been with the older model. But electrical, duct, and screw patterns were different.
4/5...would get 5/5 if the manual would have been correct.
