A free-standing beverage cooler is a wonderful addition to any home or office. Both practical and sturdy, you can set it up almost anywhere in your home or office. All you need is enough space to house the unit as well as access to a safe electrical source for continuous power. Consider one of these all-around useful products for storing your cold drinks.
A Variety of Options That Fit Any Space
Free-standing beverage fridges do not require installation underneath a countertop. Smaller versions that hold between 50 and 60 cans of chilled drinks don’t occupy much space in your kitchen, island, or home bar countertops. Medium capacity models, designed to hold between 80 and 120 twelve ounce cans, can fit on some counters or stand by themselves on the floor. Large coolers, which store 150 cans or more, require more room but are ideal for serving many guests or large gatherings.
Physical construction is also a key element to consider when shopping for a beverage center. Most models have a stainless steel chassis, which guarantees that your unit will last for many years to come. Also, most versions are made with glass front doors that allow you to quickly see their contents. A side benefit to these coolers’ structure is that they look slick and contemporary, effortlessly blending in with modern and minimalist interior design or contrasting nicely with more traditional décor.
Another benefit of free-standing beverage centers is that every model comes with a useful selection of basic, standard features. Powerful compressors inside each appliance work continuously to keep your drinks chilled. Additionally, internal shelving for beverage centers is typically designed to be removable, giving you the ability to shift the inside configuration to accommodate both bottled and canned products. Last of all, safety locks permit you to restrict access to your unit’s contents, which can help prevent young children from getting into your beverages.
In addition to standard features commonly included in beverage centers, many models boast premium options as well as added technology to make your life easier. For example, digital displays and thermostats permit you to easily read and precisely adjust your fridge’s temperature to best chill your drinks. Reversible doors permit you to reinstall them on the appliance, changing the direction in which they open. Interior blue LED lights are both attractive and energy-saving, consuming less electricity than standard lighting. Finally, some offer ultra-low cooling, permitting you to set their temperatures to as low as 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Because they’re portable, and only require an appropriate amount of space with an electrical supply, these units work exceptionally well in your home bar, game room, home office, or den. It is also an excellent choice for freeing up space in your main refrigerator, and saves you from repeated trips. Furthermore, a beverage center is an additional hospitality opportunity, letting you offer drinks to guests and clients visiting your office. Finally, free-standing coolers can be put in places where you normally cannot install a built-in version, such as your master bedroom. Being able to grab a cold drink and saving yourself a trip out to the kitchen in the middle of the night might be a good reason alone to bring one of these into your home.
With so many possibilities, it is not hard to find a fridge that fits your space and budget. Smaller models are less expensive and provide the capacity you need to store cold drinks for just a few people. Mid-range versions hold a lot of beverages for just a few hundred dollars. Finally, higher priced units afford both the luxury of premium product benefits and the reliable power to keep your liquids cold.
Chill Your Beverages Anywhere
Offering strength and portability, a free-standing beverage cooler can be placed anywhere you have room and a suitable electrical outlet. The sleek, modern look of many fridges allow them to seamlessly fit in with your décor. Available in a many different sizes and with a vast assortment of features, it is very easy to select a fridge that’s just right for you. Bring the convenience and cooling power of a free-standing beverage refrigerator to your home or office.
General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
