For those who are looking for an easy way to add an air conditioning system to a home without installing an entire ductwork setup, ductless air conditioners are the way to go. With older properties that may not already have a centralized heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems set up, these types of units are convenient. Ductless air conditioning systems are easy to install and can be operational within minutes of purchasing.
After the installation of one of these cooling units, you can customize your system even further by adding on specific parts or accessories. There are many different types of mini-split air conditioner parts & accessories that can enhance the performance of your new cooling appliance .One popular part that can make operation of your ductless air conditioner effortless is a wall based thermostat unit that can allow you to control the temperature of your appliance easily. You can even swap out the panels of your ductless air conditioner if you want to match your room’s current decor. For air conditioning units that are installed outside, there are products you can purchase to help keep your appliance better protected from the outside elements. Finally, a line set product will allow you to have more placement options for your air conditioner.
Different Accessories That You May Need
When you’re trying to set up a cooling system for your home, ductless air conditioners are the most convenient solution for homes that weren’t constructed with a system of ducts in the walls. The best way to keep your home comfortable is to choose a set of these types of air conditioners for most of the rooms in your house. After installing each appliance, you can finally start to feel cool again. One issue that you may come across, though, is the hassle of going from room to room to set a temperature each day. You can avoid this frustration by purchasing a thermostat that can easily link all of the devices within your home. Then, when it’s time to set a cooling schedule, you can simply program it into your wall thermostat. Some products are even able to upload data wirelessly, ensuring you have a precise temperature throughout your home’s square footage.
Whenever you install a built in air conditioner such as a mini-split model, you want to have as many options as possible with the placement and look of your space. Despite not needing ductwork in order to function, these units do have some space requirements. Buying a line set to help connect your air conditioner to the outdoor compressor can give you some additional room for placement in the perfect spot. You can also upgrade the look of your unit to match the style of your interior with a customized panel that can easily be swapped out of the unit.
Another important thing to consider when installing your air conditioner is the security of your unit’s compressor outside. While these units are constructed of strong materials, sometimes they can take a beating from one of the many punches that Mother Nature may throw. You can protect your unit from the elements such as wind, rain or other damaging forces by installing more protection around your appliance. A low ambient kit can give it an extra shell of protection, and a wall bracket can keep it securely attached to its exterior placement.
Choose Your Parts Today
After you’ve selected the perfect ductless air conditioner to help keep your family cool and comfortable, you should start thinking of additional accessories to make your new system work even better. Selecting a few essential parts to make your air conditioner function at its peak can help your home be at its most efficient.
General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
