Garment care products protects the investment that you have made in your wardrobe by ensuring that your clothing continues to look like new. These products encompass a wide range of purposes, from steaming and ironing to drying, but the fundamental purpose, as a whole, is to make clothes look like new and stay looking like new for as long as possible. Also in this section are the wall organizers that allow the most convenient storage of garment care products to help out with the tight utility room spaces.
The Best Product for Each Purpose
With the best garment care products, consumers have the ability to find the proper items that will help alleviate unnecessary wear and tear that originates from inadequate care. The products in this area include irons, steam press, drying racks, etc. to ensure that, after laundering, clothing receives the finishing touches that give it a fresh, well-kept look.
It’s important to have the correct drying rack arrangement for garments that require air drying after washing. The options for drying racks spans a spectrum of varieties, from the styles that accommodate draped garments to ones that permit sweaters to be laid out to dry on a flat surface. The design of many drying racks facilitates folding down to a very low profile shape for storing out of the way when not in use. Drying racks are also an economical way to dry clothes, saving on utility bills.
A steam iron can make life simpler when it comes to pulling together a well groomed appearance. It uses the power of steam to essentially erase the set in wrinkles and puckered seams. These can occur when clothes are in storage for an extended period of time or simply the way they look after the washing and drying process. Steam irons are a necessity for many delicate clothing items that cannot take the direct heat that a traditional iron offers. In any case, a steam iron gives the garment a more becoming finish, even returning it to a just like new condition.
Keeping the irons, steam press, drying racks, etc. organized in the home is an important aspect of setting up a functional laundry space. This allows the products to be readily available for easy access and also stored so that they do not infringe on the home’s living areas. For that purpose, there are several wall organizers that are excellent for hanging irons and ironing boards. This allows them to be handily accessible when needed, then stored neatly until time to use them again.
Keep Your Clothes Looking Their Best
With the proper garment care products, you can be confident that the money you have spent on your clothes will not go to waste. Reduce the wear and tear that results from improper care. Keep your clothes looking as good as the first time you wore them for a long time by following the manufacturer’s recommendations for washing and drying. And give your outfits the perfect professional finish by touching up with an iron and steam press as needed. It’s a good feeling to start each day looking your best. Regardless of the size of your household or space requirements, the right garment care products are available to help you put together your best look.
General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
