When working in a hospital, lab, pharmacy or other medically-centered establishment, the importance of properly maintaining the temperature of certain vaccines, samples and medicine should never be underestimated. In fact, there are now several industry standards in place that make the addition of proper medical cooling equipment a necessity in these types of work environments. Installing a lab refrigerator and freezer combo is the most efficient and responsible way to handle your work place’s cooling and freezing needs while minimizing the space and cost associated with doing so in a way that meets industry standards flawlessly, leaving you more time to worry about patients and other necessary duties.
Industrial Grade Efficiency and Unparalleled Security
When it comes to your patients and your medical practices, it’s always important to offer the best of the best in every aspect of business. That’s why investing in a new lab refrigerator and freezer combo is a must for anyone looking to build a reputation of reliability and professionalism in the medical community. The freezers which are included in these combo sets can reach sub-zero temperatures quickly and easily, which is a difficult task for regular, non-medical equipment to achieve, if not completely impossible. This serves to ensure that the contents within are kept at the perfect temperature to prevent the growth of bacteria, infection from outside sources or chemical changes that could potentially cause complications in subsequent medical procedures down the road. The available models vary widely in size and capacity (common models range in size from around 4 cubic meters of interior storage to a combined 12 cubic meters in larger fridge-freezer combos), ensuring you find exactly the model you need to handle all of your temperature-sensitive goods without taking up excess space in the workplace and creating obstacles during everyday traffic, which can be disastrous on busy days. Furthermore, each of the available models come complete with a built-in locking system. There are always concerns regarding theft and tampering in the medical industry, and this added feature seeks to remedy these worries by keeping your sensitive goods safe from any outside threats they might otherwise face in a daily basis. This locking mechanism also serves a second purpose by ensuring that the appliance is shut securely, and that it’s never accidentally left open to expose your important vaccines, samples and medicines to damaging temperatures or sticky fingers.
With so many features to offer, it’s no wonder that demand for these types of goods has risen over the past years, leading to advancements in the technology surrounding them. With the huge variety of brands and models which can be found through Living Direct, you can rest assured that, regardless of how big or small your budget and your storage needs, you’ll be able to find the perfect lab refrigerator and storage combo for all of your medical needs. Search through the features presented by each model in order to gain a better grasp of the extensive possibilities presented by this unique appliance and decide which are more appropriate for your work space to function professionally and reliably every day.
General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
