Range Hood Accessories, Filters, and Recirculating Kits

With a huge variety of range hoods out there, it isn’t always easy to pick which one is best for your kitchen. First of all, with the way ranges can be installed into different locations in your kitchen—either on a wall-side countertop or on a central kitchen island—will certainly dictate the style you can use. But even then, granular decisions start pouring in. Under-cabinet or wall-mounted? Island or downdraft? We’re here to help the process become as easy as possible. Browse our expansive selection of various range hoods to find the vent hood that’s perfect for your kitchen, perfect for your usage, and perfect for you.

Accessories and Recirculate Kits for Range Hoods

But even with a huge variety of options, not all range hoods are a perfect fit—at first. Most range hoods feature a default design that’s meant to vent any captured odors, smokes, and smells directly outside. When their powerful fans kick into action, they’ll suck up and capture smokes and vapors before sending them packing out of a wall or roof vent. But this requires ductwork and exterior venting that your house might not be equipped for. Whether it’s a lack of previous installation, space, or city rules and regulations, you might not be able to vent to the outside. Never fear! Plenty of accessories exist to convert standard, exterior-venting range hoods into recirculating range hoods that’ll have you cooking in clean air in no time.

Recirculating kits are designed to fit specific models of range hoods and change the inner workings so that the range hood fans suck up air before putting it directly back into your kitchen. They divert the air directly back into the kitchen without the need for external venting or expansive ducting. But obviously, you wouldn’t want those smokes and smells to come back into your kitchen with the air that’s getting recirculated. That’s why the recirculation kits we offer include built-in, replaceable carbon filters that will help clean and purify your air of smokes, odors, and greases as it pulls them in.

Range Hood Duct Covers a Plenty

Of course, if you do have the ability to vent to the exterior, there’s generally little reason not to do so. But the venting and ductwork required for a range hood—particularly one that’s wall-mounted without cabinets to cover up any metal ducts—might not be the most aesthetically pleasing part of your kitchen. Exposed metal ducts can add a nice industrial look to your kitchen, but if that’s not the general style you’re going for, those ducts will look very out of place. That’s why we also carry duct covers that will conceal twisting ducts behind clean, angular lines. With a duct cover in place, you won’t have to look at the bare, exposed metal of ducts leading to the outside. Instead, you can selected clean right angles and smooth surfaces that will fit in naturally with the rest of your kitchen, bringing the whole thing together into a stylistic unit.
